Issue Accessing GitHub Foundation Certification After Student Pack Approval

Hi everyone,

I recently got approved for the GitHub Student Developer Pack (thanks for that!). I’m trying to claim the GitHub Foundations certification offer. According to the Student Pack benefits, it should be free.

However, when I try to enroll for the in-person Vue exam, it asks for a $35 fee. Is this expected? I’m based in Tunisia, in case it’s location-specific.

Could you please clarify if this certification is still fully free or if there's a workaround?

Student vouchers for GitHub Foundation Certification are on hold until this fall, this is due to the platform change from PSI to Pearson VUE.

Heads-up, Developer Pack members! The current batch of free GitHub Foundations exam vouchers disappears on June 30 2025. Redeem yours now and schedule the test at your convenience. Vouchers will pause while we migrate to a new platform—but they’ll be back this fall and expanded to teachers, too. Need a refresher? Hello, this is already september but the voucher is not being automatically applied. I'm a student in Austria.
