Motivation
I would like deletion protection and cross zone load balancing

Reuse the existing Service implementation.

Manually edit the attributes after the LB is created

Thanks for opening this ticket and willing to contribute PR. However, i am a bit confused on the feature being requested here, I believe we currently support deletion protection and cross zone load balancing in NLB with annotation now

        - enable NLB deletion protection
        ```
        service.beta.kubernetes.io/aws-load-balancer-attributes: deletion_protection.enabled=true
        ```
        - enable cross zone load balancing
        ```
        service.beta.kubernetes.io/aws-load-balancer-attributes: load_balancing.cross_zone.enabled=true

Is it not working when you try to use it? Can you elaborate more on it?

Thank you for bringing up the issue! Adding this functionality would be a welcome addition. If you'd like to work on this update we'll be on the lookout for the PR. If you would like to work on this, feel free to assign this issue to yourself to avoid duplicate PRs for the same issue.
