My assignment tasks are not showing up

Usually, this happens when the assignment’s companion repo or bot hasn’t been linked properly. Try refreshing the page and double-check that your repo is correctly connected to the assignment.

If you’re still stuck, check that the assignment instructor has set up the companion repo correctly. Sometimes the “No companion showing” means the bot or GitHub Action that manages assignments isn’t running or authorized.

Common Fixes

• Repo Permissions
  Are you looking at a classroom assignment repo? If so, make sure you've accepted the assignment link via GitHub Classroom—and that you’re signed in with the correct GitHub account.

• Branch Confusion
  Sometimes tasks are pushed to a specific branch (like main, assignment-1, etc.). Try switching branches in the dropdown near the top-left of the repo page.

• Check Issues/Projects Tabs
  If tasks were listed as GitHub Issues or in a Project Board, make sure to check both tabs—they’re not always in the README.

• Assignment Not Yet Released
  If it's a class setting, your instructor might not have pushed the tasks yet. You can drop them a quick message to confirm.

if it still not working, maybe the bot or GitHub Action isn’t running or don’t have permission. in that case, the instructor might need to fix it.
